This last 24 Hrs has just been full of special people!
First there was Gill, whose home we stayed in last night....such wonderful Christian hospitality. We were very well looked after, dried out and fed.
Then there was Maralyn who waved us down as we rode and invited us to have a bacon buttie at her Table top sale at Clawton Hall near Holsworthy. Her friends, raising funds to put in disabled access for the hall were all so friendly.
Now, our brake blocks had worn out on the Cornish Hills but Maralyn knew Ivor and Ivor worked wonders on the bike which also had a couple of broken spokes and a loose back wheel!!
Then there was the lady in the Half Moon Inn in Sheepwash who knew Rory Stewart (MP) and had a soft spot for people doing crazy things and sponsored us and Eddie, sitting at the bar who also sponsored us cos his mum would have loved me because I was a chiropodist!!
The hills continue to be very challenging. Looking forward to a very long day tomorrow.
