Day 9 Hale to Whalley to Preston.

Cycle Route 6 dominated the earlier part of the day with some amusing restrictions and other frustratingly impossible cobbled paths.

Passing into the Rossendale Valley that pulled up and out of Manchester and on to the southern part of the Ribble valley as we visited Whalley with its 14thC Abbey Gatehouse on our way to Preston.

We reached Preston in some evening sunshine, a rare treat and much appreciated.

So that‘s it for this year! We must have cycled over 500 miles ....... that’s almost one ninth of the distance to Nepal (as the crow flies) and we hope our efforts have brought us all closer to the children in Happy Home.

Thank you for your interest, support and encouragement. We will keep you posted of the children’s development in more normal ways over the coming year.......til the next Leg!!

Well done; what an achievement and I hope you've made loads of money for the lovely people in Nepal. I look forward to hearing all about it.
