Day 5 Wells and Water

Well well, water everywhere!! Today started dry with a cycle over the levels to Wells and a quick visit to the cathedral but the rain soon arrived and we got very wet towards the end of our 60 miles. The dreaded chafing also appeared as did a sore back for Susan. That having been said we are doing well and are presently roasting hot as we have the storage heaters on full to try and dry things for tomorrow. Wind from the North again tomorrow

with a pleasant cooling deluge!

Its striking that England seems to be a country of large towns with lots of people rushing between them - and very few people in between. Seen some lovely villages today as we wended through the Mendips (before it rained), but almost nobody around!!

Thanks for your interest and support

Hate to say it, but we had a lovely sunny day today, followed by a stunning sunset. surely it can't get any worse for you, this is June after all. You deserve a medal, hope your clothes dry off before tomorow. 😭

Well, you have been unfortunate with the weather (dreadful day here all day) but perhaps it's better than a heatwave! Hope your aches and pains disappear after a good night's rest. Thinking of you xx
