Day 4 and we are in Somerset.

Today has had noticeably less steep hills and we enjoyed rolling Devon hills before crossing the Somerset Levels.

A posse of cyclists passed us at 10am and invited us for coffee and scones at the Old Rectory in Halberton. We caught up with them at the bottom of a hill called ‘Long Drag’ on which we clocked up 39mph!! The rest of the day was positively sedate in comparison.

Day 4 sees us near Glastonbury......still looking like a long way to go!

We’ve really felt for you today with the heavy rain, but on reading your message this morning, we trust you have continued to know similar encouragement like those you’ve already shared on your blog. Looking forward to hearing further news. With our love and prayers C & H xx

It has taken me all this time to find out how to post a comment. For some reason it has blanked me till now. I have enjoyed all you blogs, what a wonder experience, hills and all. But meeting so many wonderfully kind people en route. xxx
