Today (Friday) was extraordinary - light winds, long distances ( for us), stags everywhere, all day in Tee shirts, and proper wild camping!
Light winds are such a blessing as our 67 miles have been in every compass direction other than south - so you can’t avoid headwinds!! Today we cycled opposite Skye for most of the day taking in lochs Torridon, Marree and Gairloch. The views have been of majestic mountains and sea and Its been too hot going up the many hills.
Real wild camping has involved washing in a waterfall and eating a Chinese takeaway on the sea front on Gairloch village - something doesn’t sound right there!
And finally - is this stag attacking the tourist, or has a loopy local been feeding it for years so it expects a bucket of veg from every car that turns up ? It’s a cliff hanger ending tonight - or it would be if we had signal to send the blog!!
Fantastic to hear from you again! Sounds awesome, thrilling, exhilarating, difficult, brutal, exhausting, soul sapping and knackering! How many ticks? 😩 Susan doesn’t have a big enough fleshy part of her anatomy to host that number!! Yuk! You are both amazing! Power to your pedals and may God bless your legs xx
